Your First Facial in Lakewood: What to Know
Your first facial should feel like time set aside for you. You do not need a perfect skincare routine, a bare bathroom shelf or an exact diagnosis of your skin to book. A useful starting point is deciding whether you want a full facial experience, time devoted to acne care, or a conversation about the products you already use.
Choose an appointment that matches the experience you want
The Custom Facial is a 75-minute, $165 appointment whose menu includes an enzyme treatment, lymphatic facial massage and an advanced hydrating mask. It is a good service to explore when you want a personalized facial with both skincare and time to unwind.
The Fuzz Off Glow & Smooth Facial is also 75 minutes, at $175, and centers on facial fuzz removal alongside the facial experience. The Advanced Glow Treatment combines dermaplaning, LED, an enzyme, lymphatic facial massage, extractions and a hydrating mask in an 80-minute, $240 booking. Choosing a longer menu does not mean you need every technique; the right appointment starts with what interests you and what suits your skin.
If your main goal is sorting out your routine, the 25-minute In Person Consultation is $100. Acne Boot Camp + Consult is a separate 75-minute, $140 option. You can compare these in the Lakewood facial and consultation guide.
Prepare without giving yourself a second facial at home
Keep a photo or short list of your current products, including the items you use only occasionally. Exact product names are helpful: two bottles called a serum may have very different formulas. Note anything that recently felt uncomfortable and any recent facial, peel or hair-removal appointment.
Avoid experimenting with a new scrub or peel just to get ready. Follow the preparation instructions for the appointment you choose, and mention retinoids, prescription skincare and recent procedures before your visit so the service can be planned appropriately. There is no need to buy a new set of products in advance.
Make the visit easy to enjoy
Save your GlossGenius confirmation and check the service name, price, duration and booking terms. Leave enough room in your day for the listed appointment time and your journey. Keep hair accessories simple and choose clothing that feels comfortable while you recline. If you have an event coming up, share the date when planning a service rather than assuming every treatment fits the day before.
Aesthetics by Talli is at 1875 Rt 70, Suite 117, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Studio visits are by appointment. Check current appointment availability before travelling, and use the Visit page for directions.
Keep the evening afterward simple
The facial you receive determines your aftercare. Keep the instructions from your appointment with your skincare products so they are easy to follow that evening. A facial is not a reason to try several new active products at once. Read the directions for any product you take home and keep track of the changes you actually make.
For everyday cleansing technique, the American Academy of Dermatology recommends gentle fingertip washing and patting dry instead of scrubbing; its face-washing guide is a useful reference. You can also explore cleanser textures before your next routine review.
